Two Months Already

It has been two months since I started my adventure as a cast member and I am loving it everyday. Of course there were lots of ups and downs moments but I am truly blessed with all the people that I am friends with because those people added more and more colors and fun in my journey. I woke up everyday and I am truly happy about where I am and this is the first time I actually feel that I belong here. I love all my friends and people that I work with everyday. Lifeguarding is not the greatest job on earth, we are guarding people life no matter it is 90 degrees out or pouring rain. We work as a team and we become closer and closer. It is gonna be so hard to say goodbye to some of the best friends I made in May. I don't know what future will lead me, but I am sure that I want to work for Disney for couple more months or may be years.

Life of a Lifeguard at Disney

I started my first day of being a officially lifeguard cast member yesterday. I had my shift at one of the pool at Animal Kingdom Lodge. The weather wasn't very nice at all, my shift started at 3:15pm and it started raining from that time  through my entire shift. I got soaking wet even I had my rain coat on. But our guest were never fear of the wind and rain and kept swimming. I survived my first shift in the rain, I got home and immediately got into a hot shower and bed time. Bonus of the day was I talked to my mom for the first time since I moved to Florida. Today was an easy day, I had my shift at Coronado Springs Resort, however the pool is closed until Saturday, so three of us stand at the entrances to inform our guests that they can't use the pool. I was really hard to tell the little one that the pool is close while they had their swimsuit on already. It was an easy day, but windy out. Our coordinator let us choose to stay or leave early since the pool is closed and it is also too cold to let people in anyway. I stay till 9:30pm then I went home. I love my job so far and I am excited to meet my co-worker and become friends with them. Disney is fun and I enjoyed going to the parks whenever I have a day off!!!!!

My first week

Finally have WiFi set up and finally have time to get another post on here. I am so excited to be at Disney. On Sunday I got stuck at Washington DC and didn't get to Orlando till 3am in the morning. But I made it to check in at 7:45am on Monday morning, check in and casting (filling and filing document) went very well, I met up with my 7 roommates and all moved in. Then I had my vision test and swim test that day, I was exhausted but I passed still :) Lucky me!!!!! Tuesday I had my drug test and visited couple of my friends at the other apartment complex. Wednesday I had a free day for organizing my room and grocery day. Tradition is on Thursday, is a class that we learned about how to be a good cast member at Walt Disney World and how can we create magic to our guests. Friday and Saturday is my lifeguard/CPR training. At first I am very nervous about it because the course sound so intense and complicated when I first started, but my classmates and instructor are really nice so it made it fun. We learned about CPR, shallow, middle, and deep water rescue, and first aid skills. Today is our BIG DAY, we had our lifeguard test and I PASSED.

I can't wait to see what come next.
I will be working at Animal Kingdom Lodge and Colorado Spring!!!!

One week left !!!!!

One week until I get on a plane to start my journey to Florida Walt Disney World as a Cast Member!!!!
I am Beyond EXCITED. Of course, I know I am going to miss all my friends in Minnesota, but I am excited to meet new friends at Disney.

10 Days

10 days left and I haven't packed yet. There are still a lot of things I have to do before I leave. Hopefully I get to spend some more time with Sam before Sunday :) The pass two weeks I have been working at Theatre B, a local theatre in Moorhead. It was quite an experience. I got to do a lot of practical work with them. It was tiring tho. Today the four of us got our roommate and housing thing settle. I mean Tiffiani got the thing set up, but Loreal and Liz are having some trouble with DORMS. I hope they can get that figure our tomorrow :) The whole disney and online communication things are interesting. I can't imagine 30 years ago, how the DCPs get information from Disney from all around the country.

12 Days before I leave Moorhead

Countdown started........ NOW!!!!!!!
I have 12 days until I get on a plane and start a brand new journey at Disney World. I am going to be leaving on the 1st Feb at 2:30 pm at Fargo airport, then I will landed in Orlando at midnight, it is gonna be a long day, but I already have a room reserved at Holiday Inn across the check in place. That should save some time in the check in day morning.
This morning, my roommates and myself got the email about Dorms. Which is pick our room and pick our roommate email, I woke up earlier than usual just because I don't want this to be delay. My roommate Tiffiani is going to be the leader to put all the info in, and then the rest of us suppose to get a email again. I can't wait until I actually meet those ladies, and my old roommates too.
Wedding preparation is going awesome, we picked out the color and bridesmaid dresses, I put down the downpayment for my dress and the flower girl dress. A lot of payment has been arranged, looks like me and Sam will be working hard for the next few months. Glad that my parents are going to help out a little. The other day, we went to GiGi's cupcake to try one some wedding cupcake, and we are excited to say that we already put the downpayment with them for our wedding, their cupcake is amazing :) This week is a little bit more relaxing for me, I am going to finish all the save the date card before I leave town. I will pack a little a day, I don't like packing in general.

Disney last summer

Last summer, I am lucky to go to Disney World and Universal studio with one of my best friends Laurel. We spent 15 hours on our first day at Magic Kingdom, then we wend to Epcot, the beach, and two days at Universal. We were so tired after all the walking and sightseeing. We had tons of fun and we are lucky to meet a lot of characters.
